In response to a growing number of requests for electrical engineering support, we are delighted to launch a brand new service specifically aimed at the optical industry.

Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) is an essential element of any Health & Safety Policy as the Health & Safety Executive report that 25% of all reportable electrical accidents involve portable appliances. In the case of electrical equipment located in an optical practice, electrical safety is paramount due to the potential of injury to the general public.

Legislation exists to the relevance of electrical maintenance in the form of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, the Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999, the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, the Workplace (Health, Safety & Welfare) Regulations 1992 and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998. Quite a list!

Failure to provide documentary evidence of a qualified electrical safety testing regime means that employers are potentially placing their staff and customers at risk of injury as a result of poorly maintained or unsafe equipment.

Dibble Optical, in association with an electrical consultant with significant experience with high street retailers, now offer a comprehensive solution at a surprisingly affordable price.

This service is currently limited to the South East of England.
